The FBI COINTELPRO Files
An Archival Collection
Political Research Associates houses an archival collection of over 30,000 pages of FBI COINTELPRO files sorted by major program and then by city. This is not the usual way such files are sorted, and increases the ability of activists and researchers to track how FBI COINTELPRO campaings targeted specific cities.
In addition, PRA has a special collection of FBI COINTELPRO files that reference operations involving the media This includes incidents of the FBI feeding derogatory information about activists to corporate media; or disrupting the alternative and underground press.
PRA also has other related FBI files, and a large collection of books about the FBI, Civil Liberties, Surveillance Abuse, and Political Repression.
All of these FBI documents are avaiable to be studied or photocopied at the PRA library archive in Somerville, MA.
