FUNDAMENTALISM: Hazards and Heartbreak by Rod L. Evans and Irwin M. Berent. 195 pp. Open Court (1988).

This book explores fundamentalism's impact upon the individual. Although respectful of Christian fundamentalists, it describes the potential hazards to which many fundamentalists are vulnerable.

Fundamentalism: Hazards and Heartbreaks examines fundamentalist church environments; evaluates the teachings of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell; points out some of the pitfalls of fundamentalism; and discusses the principal historical influences of the Bible.

The book, an easy-to-read guide to fundamentalism, is an excellent primer for anyone trying to understand Christian fundamentalism.
