Exodus Freedom Speaker Warns of 'The Gay Gospel'

Hundreds of men and women will be hearing from former homosexuals who found freedom through Jesus Christ when Exodus International opens its 32nd annual Freedom Conference Tuesday in Irvine, Calif.

Inciting Hate of Ishmael's Descendents

A Baptist pastor writes in the Searcy, Ark. Daily Citizen: "If you are trying to find reason in the world of Islam, be assured that even God warned us that there is no sense to be found in the actions of these descendants of Ishmael. They are what they have been throughout history. Sadly, every indication suggests that they will continue to pursue a course of brutality and chaos."

Psychologists Served as CIA/Pentagon "Torture Teachers"

The Pentagon and CIA collaborated in creating torture techniques by "reverse engineering" lessons taught by the military for resisting torture, according to an expose in Salon.com by Marc Benjamin. Two psychologists at the center of the research are now under investigation by the Pentagon, whose Inspector General released a report on the controversy last month. The techniques likely violate the Geneva Conventions.

Folded into the Rev. Frank Page's wallet is a yellow scrap of paper with the date and time he is to speak with yet another Republican candidate for the White House.
He already has visited one GOP front-runner over breakfast at a country club and met another at the headquarters of a car dealership in his home state.

National group boots Colorado Right to Life

Colorado Right to Life, which ran a full-page ad in The Gazette last month criticizing Focus on the Family founder James Dobson, was ousted Wednesday from the National Right to Life Committee. Colorado Right to Life President Brian Rohrbough and the leaders of three other groups accused Dobson of mischaracterizing a recent Supreme Court ruling as a victory for abortion opponents. PBS We Thought We Knew Ye

PBS is distributing a documentary on the "wall of separation" between church and state written and directed by a former contributor to a Christian Right website, warns Barry Lynn of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. While Lynn was unable to preview the documentary, promotional materials suggest "Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and others among the nation's founders didn't intend a 'religiously pluralistic culture guided by a secular government'." PBS Vice President defended the decision, saying "our mandate to present a diversity of viewpoints on issues of public importance."

The Bush administration increasingly emphasized partisan political ties over expertise in recent years in selecting the judges who decide the fate of hundreds of thousands of immigrants, despite laws that preclude such considerations, according to an analysis by The Washington Post .

Latino evangelicals are becoming more politically active in hopes of persuading Congress to support an immigration reform package that weighs border security with a compassionate approach toward undocumented immigrants. The political activism among Latino evangelicals, however, has created a rift with other evangelicals that could unravel political alliances on critical conservative issues such as abortion. The Arizona Republic reports.
